FAQs

London Life Sciences week refers to the week of November 16-19, 2026, when the biotechnology and investment community gathers in London for networking, deal-making, and meetings surrounding the annual Jefferies Global Healthcare Conference. If you have questions about the Jefferies Global Healthcare Conference itself, please contact Jefferies directly.

As a service to the industry, BIO is bringing the BIO Partnering™ system, which enables companies (you) to efficiently schedule in-person meetings November 16-19, 2026, at BIO's meeting space at the One Aldwych hotel, or meetings virtually or in your own meeting location. The system is open to any qualified company and investor that registers, regardless of whether you are attending the Jefferies Global Healthcare Conference or any other concurrent event during London Life Sciences Week.

Please note BIO and the BIO Partnering system are not affiliated with the Jefferies Global Healthcare Conference, or any other concurrent conference during London Life Sciences week.

BIO Partnering™ @ London Life Sciences Week is a BIO-offered service using the BIO Partnering system to seamlessly arrange virtual or in-person partnering meetings during London Life Sciences Week.

You can self-schedule meetings between November 16-19, 2026, with the flexibility to use your own in-person meeting space or virtual links, or BIO's meeting space at the One Aldwych hotel (subject to availability) or virtual links through a BIO provided Zoom.

The BIO Partnering™ system makes connections on a company-to-company basis. Individual delegates’ accounts will be placed under a company profile along with their colleagues as they register. After selecting their attendance type and filling out their profiles and their calendar availability, delegates send meeting requests to other companies and investors of interest and accept incoming meeting requests as appropriate.  Delegates then schedule their accepted meetings for mutually available times and specify locations. Some features available in the BIO Partnering system that make meeting management a breeze, include:

  • Self-schedule your meetings with great flexibility. Use BIO meeting space, virtual links or your own in-person or virtual locations.

  • Batch accept and decline incoming meeting requests to save time

  • Set saved search criteria and receive daily/weekly updates on new matches straight to your inbox

  • Native mobile app with push notifications for your upcoming meetings

  • Expanded partnering objectives to better classify your goals and search for partners based on their goals

  • Export shared contact information

Access to BIO Partnering™ for London Sciences Week is available to qualified registrants from the following company types: Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical R&D, Government/Economic Development, Medical Device or Technology, Digital Therapeutics, Academic/Tech Transfer/University, Diagnostic, Investors, Hospital or Public Institute, and Patient Advocacy. All applications are subject to review by BIO. View the Registration Categories.

The BIO Partnering system will open in early November. After the system opens, you can expect to receive your partnering login information within 1-2 business days of your completed registration. Be sure to add  biopartnering@bio.org to your safe senders list to receive your login credentials.

Each company profile is allowed 150 outstanding outgoing meeting requests. Once an outgoing meeting request is accepted, declined or canceled, it no longer counts against that limit, and you can send an additional meeting request.

Once a meeting request has been accepted, participants from either company can schedule the meeting by clicking the “Schedule” button on the meeting request from the Meetings page. Delegates can see the attendance types (In-person or virtual) of the meeting participants to help them choose either an in-person meeting location or a virtual meeting link, or both.

The meeting location, whether in-person, virtual or a hybrid meeting, is determined by the meeting participants when they schedule their meetings. Delegates can select from four meeting location options:

1. BIO in-person meeting tables at the One Aldwych hotel
2. Their own in-person meeting location
3. A BIO provided virtual link
4. Their own virtual meeting link or use a combination of in person and virtual for a hybrid meeting.

BIO provides in-person meeting space (assigned tables in an open floorplan) at the One Aldwych hotel during London Life Sciences Week for meetings scheduled through the BIO Partnering system on a first come, first served basis and at no additional charge. BIO also provides virtual meeting links for virtual and hybrid meetings, and users can also provide their own in-person location or their own virtual meeting link.
