To qualify for investor registration, applicants must:
- Be employed by an organization that directly deploys its own capital into private or public life science companies.
- Be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, or making investment decisions on behalf of their organization.
- Attend the event primarily to identify, evaluate, and meet with prospective investment opportunities—not to raise capital for a portfolio company or client.
Organizations Generally Eligible:
- Venture capital firms
- Growth equity firms
- Venture Philanthropy
- Public market investment funds with an active healthcare or life sciences investment strategy
- Corporate venture capital organizations
- Family offices with a demonstrated life sciences investment strategy
- Strategic investment organizations that directly deploy capital
Organizations whose primary business is advisory, fundraising, consulting, or capital introduction services—or whose primary purpose for attending is to raise capital rather than identify new investment opportunities—could be directed to register under the appropriate attendee category. BIO reserves the right to deny or revoke an investor's registration if an applicant is found to have misrepresented their eligibility or no longer meets the established criteria.
